Hi, I have an almost 3 year old daughter, who despite everything does NOT go to sleep! Shes on a normal schedule, so when it comes bedtime she is usually tired..
She sleeps in a crib (I tried putting her in a toddler bed but she NEVER stayed in so we went back to the crib) and she constantly climbs out! I am losing my mind! I get so frustrated with her, and this happens every single night! My other daughter (16 months old) sleeps with her and she usually falls asleep right away..
I even put a dvd playing barney/dora/uncle moishy in her room so that maybe she'll fall asleep while watching but it doesnt help. Can anyone give me any tips?

does she want a bed - that can be an incentive. would a sticker chart work? what if you tell her she can take a toy/ book in her bed. is the prob that she doesn't fall asleep or doesn't stay in bed?? I wouldn't care about when she fell asleep, as long as she stayed in bed quietly.

Is she still napping?
Maybe it's time to take away the nap.

I guess maybe if I brought back the toddler bed I can try to reason with her Rolling Eyes . Im not so sure if a sticker chart will work...the thing is, shes very energetic and shes still 2 so I dont think the sticker concept will do much for her...
She doesnt really take a nap, today she fell asleep in the car for like an hour, so I think that might have done it. I guess I shouldnt take her into the car, bec she usually always falls asleep then Confused Confused
Thanks for your help

There are plenty of herbal calming remedies out there, or you can give her some melotonin to help her calm down before bedtime.
