I'm always curious, but don't speak yiddish. Anyone know what the words are and what they mean?

Hentelach are small hands.

Why is this posted in entertainment?

Hentelach is a song by Lipa Schmeltzer. I assume that's what she meant.

But I don't know how to translate it
(Except for 'lift up your hands to the father in heaven')

The chorus means.

Lift up your hands to the father in Heaven. I could never catch the rest of the song so thats all I can help with.

Moshiach is on his way,
to Jerusalem we pray,
on that lucky day,
v'ra'u chol amei.

All the nations will stand,
to heavens raise their hands,
only to Hashem,
who created them.

But HY, the song is in Yiddish, not English, right?

Yeah, I could get the chorus. It's the rest of it that I could never hear or understand.

I only know the Oorah version; is there a different one?
Haib oif daina hentelach -- that IS the chorus.
All the different languages are saying the same thing.

Oh, wait, you're right. There is another Yiddish part. Sorry, I'd make a fool of myself trying to transcribe it Smile
