I am pretty sure these are all questions that are not allowed. Most large corporations are very clear on what they are not allowed to ask : age, number of children, pregancy status, have you ever had to leave work to take care of sick children, etc.

They can, however, ask indirectly : Is there any family situation or committments that may make it difficult for you to fulfill your obligations here ?

We had a lawyer discuss this very subject w/ us
Here in the US you have to be very careful of privacy rights!
