I found this poem on chinuch.org. Does anyone know if it comes w/ a tune or if it's just a poem? If you don't know the tune, can you help me match a tune to these lines?
With a candle I will go
To search for chometz to and fro
All the chometz must be burnt
For the rules of pesach I have learnt
Tatty look! I found a bun
Searching for chometz is so much fun!

Sorry I missed your request, abmom!

This week, we have been running around the room to fast music. I got a bunch of remnants at the fabric store, and we talk about what is chometz and what isn't, and then pretend to clean, using lots of large muscle movement.

I'm also doing this song tto "Hashem is here":

Laibel, Laibel (or substitute name of class), if you're able, come and set the seder table (2x)

Bring me a zeroa, bring me chazeres, bring me some bitter maror, too;
Bring me a beitza, bring me some karpas, bring me some charoses, too.

I have the kids do different body positions for each item -- stand tall as a bone, crouch down and be an egg, etc.

I can't place the tune to the next one:

Hurry, hurry, don't delay;
Mix and roll it right away.
Bake it before it can rise
Shmura matza, what a prize.

How did matza get this way?
Long ago, we ran away.
Left Mitzrayim far behind
Before Paroh changed his mind.

We took dough that would be bread
Ran with it up on our heads
The sun baked it flat and brown,
So delicious, crisp and round.

And this little gem, tto 3 Blind Mice:
3 little mice (2x)
See how they run (2x)
They're running and looking all over the house
There's not even a crumb for a little mouse
What will they do when Pesach comes?
They'll have to chew on matza crumbs
Chew, chew, chew (2x)

Of course, there are zillions of versions to kadesh urchatz, and I also have shtick for Dayenu and Chad Gadya, and there are all the parsha songs that tell the story already on this thread.

That is adorable! The first tune that comes to me is "Yonatan Hakatan".

Thanks Imasinger! I taught your seder plate song today using the kids' names. They loved it!
I love the matza song. I'll try to match my own tune to it.
How did you match Yonatan Hakatan to a 6 line song? I can't get it to work Sad
I'd also love to have a kadeish urchatz song w/ translation and a catchy tune that doesn't have hebrew in the translation (ie not Urchatz we wash our 'yadayim')
TIA!

We're making an elaborate hagaddah project but it wont be ready until right before Pesach. I want a cutsie little project that we can make in a few days (2-3 yr olds) to send home this week thats Pesach related? I have these cute little fake kiddush cups for all the kids if that sparks an idea...

Thanks!!

I think it's Uncle Moishe who uses the tune of Yachad Yachad with some English words in the middle. Would that work for you?

Uncle Moishy's ong doesn't explain the individual simanim. I think the one on boruch learns about Pesach or yanky at the pesach seder with Zeidy does. (Not sure which)

The middle section of the uncle moishe one is:

Pesach we celebrate
With matza and maror on the seder plate.
Mah nishtana, four cups of wine,
We eat the afikoman and we all recline.

Here is another, tto this old man. I might change some of the harder words:

Kadesh, we make kiddush on the wine,
Urchatz, you wash your hands and I'll wash mine
Karpas, a vegetable we will dip
Yachatz, the middle Matza we split
Maggid, the story of pesach we tell
Rachtza, we wash our hands very well
Motzi matza, a piece of matza we eat
Maror is bitter and not sweet
Korech, a sandwich of matza and maror
Shulchan orech, yummy food galore
Tzafun, the afikoman we find
Barech, we bentch to Hashem who is so kind
Hallel, we praise Hashem with song
Nirtza, for yerushalayim we long
The pesach seder is so much fun
A happy pesach to everyone.

And here is another fun song tto I'm a little teapot:

I'm a little matza, round and thin,
Open your mouth and let me in
I was baked in a hurry by the sun
Pesach time is coming, yum, yum, yum!

A stop sighn saying no chametz allowed.
A doorknob hanger saying this room is cleaned for pesach.
A broom and dustpan for the kids to 'help' clean for pesach.
The pillow, kiddush cup, seder plate etc I'm sending home right b4 pesach.

I posted my "counting every day" song on this thread last year. It has been a big hit, and I added more verses this year.

I am teaching ahavas yisrael, and having the kids partner with someone they normally wouldn't choose in the class to do a partner movement activity to "amar rabbi akiva."

One day when Paroh awoke in his bed, there were frogs in his bed, there were frogs on his head
Frogs on his nose and frogs on his toes
Frogs here, frogs there, frogs were jumping everywhere.

And of course, there's "Oh listen, King Paroh."

What are the tunes to these two songs?
