I hate my wigs!! I have a custom Shevy that I want to make big changes to. Changing some of the hair, dying, getting a fresh cut and styling. I am looking for a really good shaitel macher! Please make recommendations.

Chana Rivky Litner is by far the best I went to them all. She uses very good produces. She saved all my old shetials 8+ years old she treats the hair condtions it..... recuts.... added hair and she is very resanable. she is such a nice person to deal with.... (718) 851-1179/ 718 437-3223

I'll add my 2 cents- Gitel Rosenzweig is wonderful- she is very talented and can help revive a dead sheitel! Her number is 718-758-1022

Another vote for Gitel Rosenzweig. She layered my old Shevy, cut side bangs and gave me a whole new look. I get tons of compliments.

She's talented and very sweet as well.

Each sheitel and each sheitel macher is a mazel thing. I've gone to some mentioned here as fabulous, I was burnt by them too. I dont think that there is a flawless sheitel macher out there. Everyone is human. It's their customer service you should look into.

I believe Elanit charges $50 for a wash and set. And around $250? for a cut, wash and set.

But a cut should be included in the price of a new wig.

I wouldn't buy a sheitel from Elanit though.

$250 for a cut on a new wig is competitively priced these days.

I'm not sure how much she charges for cuts, which is why I put a question mark. $250 was her price 6 years ago.

But my point was to buy a sheitel by someone who knows raw wigs, will give service if there is a problem, etc.

I totally agree that a shaitel should be bought from a reliable shaitelmacher.
