One of my kids have recently been diagnosed with strabismus- eye turns in. He must have a more mild case as it was only diagnosed after seeing the optometrist and I only found one photo which shows it. He is also relatively old for it to be discovered at this age. Otherwise his eye sight is ok and does not need glasses. He is fine for seeing close but his eye turns in when focusing on objects in the distance. We went to a specialist who recommends a MRI and then surgery.
For those who have kids with it or they themselves had it:
Did surgery help?
Did you try alternative approaches which worked?
Should I get a 2nd opinion?
Do your other kids have it?
