I've wanted to open a thread for the longest time already, bringing to all jewish mothers' attention. When it rains, & we want to protect our children with a plastic rain cover, please, PLEASE make sure you first open the hood completely befor putting the plastic onto the stroller. I can not begin to tell you, when the hood is not open, the plastic is directly on the child's face. Making sure the hood is completely open, makes sure the plastic is lying on the hood, NOT your childs face.
Please remember this always. After all, would you give your child a bag to put over his or her head for a second?

Of course, but not specifically for safety reasons, just comfort.

Fit also depends on stroller type/design/frame.

It also depends on the brand of rain cover.

We have a City Mini with the matching raincover. It's no prob if the hood is closed because there is plenty of extra plastic and lies in a way that it completely not a hazard. Also, even if I would use a diff rain cover, b/c the City Mini is slightly tilted back, I can't see it posing an issue.

But thanks for pointing it out to all those who it can be an issue for!

I voted the last one.
I do have a hood that opens in sections. 1 then 2 then 3. It is usually on setting 2 so I assume that is open.

What you point out is very true. Thanks for making me realize what is really a good point!
