my sons birthday is this coming shabbos. I'd like to invite family over for a melava malka. Not sure what to serve.
Any ideas for a PAREVE menu?
We wont be able to eat dairy yet, and I really dont want to make fleishig.

You can do bagels and spreads! That is usually perfect for Motzaei Shabbes!
Tuna salad
Egg Salad
Whitefish Salad
Thats all that comes to mind right now!

we had a melava malka/birthday party last week.
we had bagels, tuna salad, smoked fish, cream cheese, salads and of course YUMMY ICE CREAM (with all the toppings in the world)
I happen to like the pasta and tomato sauce idea, something warm as the weather is becoming colder.

I did have a birthday 2 weeks ago for one of my sons. And I did serve bagel pizza along with bagels and other spreads, but I never brought up the menu here, so you are probably mixing me up with someone else.
I also made a party for my fil's birthday a few weeks ago and I served pasta and sauce. I want something different to serve this time.
I'm considering a soup (since it's chilli at night)
I though of maybe dinner rolls with different dips
or maybe subs.
Anyione have good sub filling ideas.

flafel.
I buy the mendelson frozen ones and put into toaster oven. then have pita, chumus, big salad, sourkraut, pickels and anything else you like, and ppl assemble themselves.
also, how about wraps. it's a quick, and nice way to serve your eggsalad, tuna, white fish spread etc. you can also (time permitted) fry up a bunch of veggies and make veggi wraps or avacado or..anything you like!!
