Got a new shaitel - can't 'brush' my fingers easily through the hair- as it has knots and tangles.
Even after wash/set, still same problem.
My shaitel style is straight, cut with layers. knots are in back, bottom portion of shaitel. Shaitel length = hits my shoulders, but a drop longer.
shaitel manufacturer does not treat any of her hair for shaitels.... not sure if this is why?
Please tell me if this is normal or could the piece be faulty?

The hair is probably sewn in upside down -- so the "scales" are rubbing against each other and not lying smoothly down.
This is something that the manufacturer should fix.

this happened to my first sheitel. turns out they sewed the bottom layer in upside down! so the hair (which is not a smooth straight line--look at the picture on the back of your shampoo bottle) was rubbing against the other hair going in an opposite direction and constantly tangling. I went back to where I bought and it and they resewed it in correctly and the problem was solved!
