We are coming to Queens for a family simcha which will take place motzei Shabbat.

I am looking for accomidation only no meals needed. If possible I'd like to find a basement apartment or if someone is going away for this Shabbat who would be willing to let us stay by thier house. I would be open to Brooklyn or Queens area as we'd have time to drive to our destination since Shabbat is out earlier. We are 4 adults, 2 kids. (husband, wife, my sis, my sil. and our 2 kids) We'd need 2 bedrooms minimum. Please if anyone can steer us in the right direction that would be a great help.

A million thanks!

tizku l'mitzvot!

Do you have a budget?

So the budget is the cheaper the better Smile

I actually found midwood suites and they are reasonable and I think we'll go with them.

Next question however is the shuls. We are MO sephardi and the woman from the rental place told me that the follwing 2 shuls are less then 5 minutes from where the apartment rental would be.

Which would be a better fit for us? I don't want to have a miserable Shabbat experience in a shul that's not warm and friendly and I don't want my hubby to be uncomfortable either. Our shul at home is a huge mish mash of sephardi from MO to black hat yeshevish and even some ashkenazim who love the rabbi and the kehilla.

Congregation Bnai Yosef 718-627-9861
1616 Ocean Pkwy
Brooklyn, NY 11223
Rabbi Haim Benoliel 718-627-9861

We are not moroccan but if it's a better fit he'd be open to going here:

Congregation Netivot Israel
(Moroccan) 718-376-9469
1617 Ocean Parkway
Brooklyn, NY 11223 D,K,H
Rabbi Gad Bouskila

Any other Sephardic shuls in the area that you could recommend? How's the eruv? Again, the woman from the rental place said some hold by it and some don't...

Thanks a million!!

Hi! While I haven't been there for a quite a few years, I think most of the Sefardic congregations are fairly open... but I may be wrong.
As far as the eruv, most do not hold by it.
