I like Eddie, since we call him Ezzie. But as an adult that might be too immature for him and Edward would be more appropriate...
I also am toying with Ezra, since its similar, acceptable in the non-Jewish world, and easy to pronounce.

That's my Dad's hebrew name, and in English it is switched to his middle name, which is Edward.

As someone who has this situation, please don't use a very Jewish name for an English name unless it's his name. There is nothing that annoys me more in life than everyone assuming (and sometimes insisting!) that my Hebrew name is Raquel. Just something to think of.

Oswald? Elmo? Elroy? Ender? heehee...

I like Eli or Evan. Emmett is pretty popular now, but not my favorite. I wouldn't do Ezra either, unless that was his Hebrew name too, it could be confusing. if you're giving him an English name because you want him to have an alternative to the Hebrew one he usually goes by, you might as well go all the way.

I just thought of a really good one. Ariel! Because it sounds soo similar to Ezriel. And who's to say that he is still gonna be called Ezzy when he is 15 or whatever...
