I tool my son in today to dr reg his 2 month complaining that his head hurts and the dr sugests we take him to see an eye dr

I would check the eyes if they r fine I would take him to a pediatric neurologist

Oh. I say take him to the eye doctor. You don't need a second opinion yet, as this is a harmless step. It's not like he's advising a procedure that you want to wait for another opinion. If the eye dr says all is fine, see what your doctor's next step is. If you're not happy with the way he's dealing or not dealing with it, that would be the time to go to another dr.

Eye strain is a very common cause of headaches in children, so this is a logical first step. If the eye exam finds nothing out of the norm, see what else your ped comes up with.

I agree, totally normal first step. I had headaches when I was a little kid; I needed glasses so I was squinting and causing eye strain.
