large purple blood filled pimple

DS has a large painful pimple near his armpit. When I squeezed it, (amongst his screams), blood and some pus came out but it immediately refilled with blood and is as round as ever. Does it need medical intervention? Ds hates going to the dermatologist!

Ouch I would check it out at the DR.

It sounds like something I get on my fingers/skin when I trap it in a small space...but near the armpit sounds weird. Especially if it is hurting him.

Could be an ingrown hair. If he is screaming in pain, I think you need to see a doctor.

it sounds like a boil...don't pop it anymore and put warm compresses and antibiotic cream on it until it goes away.

Stop squeezing it....leave it alone, you are doing more harm than good. There is something called Herbal Salve that you can find in health food stores that is amazing for anything on the skin. Put it on that spot a few times throughout the day and HANDS OFF!
