I didn't give money on Chanukah, was planning to on Purim instead.
Ds has 2 morahs. He's 4, but most of the kids in his class are three. It's not part of a school, but it's not in someone's house either. It's just a preschool.
Oh, and it's in Baltimore, if that matters. If you don't live in Baltimore, can you tell me where you lived along with your opinion? I don't know how much is normal to give...I was just going to give a check. Is that tacky?
(Already wrote a note from ds to the teachers about how much he loves school, etc. Oh, and they're very good teachers, really worked with me with any issues I had all year.)

I live in Boro Park. I gave $40 to each of my kids teachers. Except for one who is an amazing teacher, I gave her $60.

Better to give cash then a check. A check may make the teacher feel awkward to deposit it...
