I'm having a birthday gathering for women next week, and I'm not very good at giving "traditional" divrei torah. Does anyone have ideas of something interactive that I can do with the group?
BTW, there will be all kinds of women, frum, not frum, and even non-Jewish (but religious) women there.

Yes, it is my birthday (I wouldn't otherwise plan a get together during the week!!). No, there will not be children there (unless mine get out of bed). That is a very cute idea to do with children though.

You could play game quizzes with a Torah theme, like "noughts and crosses":
Divide the ladies into two groups, each group in turn chooses a square and has to answer the question in the square in order to put their symbol into it. The winning group is the one with three symbols in a row.

Celebrate Mothers Theme
Ask each one to give over s/thing special they learned from their Mother. You can speak abt mothers and The Imahos, or something special you learned from your mother, or motherhood, or a special Jewish mother/ rebbitzin.
(Your B-day is a speacial time to celebrate th one who gave birth to you)
You can split up sentances abt mothers and (subject and predicate) and put them in a basket ppl try to put them together.
EX My Tired Mommy put me to sleep
My Busy Mother always had time for me
Sarah Imainu was the first Jewish mother
Chava (Eve) was the mother of mankind

Perhaps they can make cards to send to (their mothers or) an important woman in their lives.

HAPPY ALMOST B-DAY!!!!!!
