ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a huge pet peeve of mind. I cannot stand when educated people say or write anyways. This is what I think about while cleaning for pesach.

Then we have “anyways,” a colloquial corruption of “anyway.” It’s universally considered nonstandard and should be avoided altogether. It might help to remember that “anyway” is an adverb, and adverbs can’t be plural.

In formal language you would be correct, though language changes (for linguaphiles there is a great podcast on iTunes on linguistics, check iTunesU). Grammar changes, phonemes change, meanings change.
200 years from now anyways might be correct, just as a napron has become an apron.

Fine, but right now it is not the correct form of the word.

You are right, and in formal writing anyways shouldn't be used. However, in informal language it is fine. Formal language often is rigid, and therefore doesn't change as quickly. The leaders of change are the ones who use slang. The words then seep back up, and the language itself changes.
This is my point. Don't begrudge those who are using the terms in a post on a board unless the board is one in which only formal language is used or expected to be used, nor in common speech. If giving a lecture or making a presentation to a board, anyways should not be used. Between friends, who cares? Often it is said wrong to make a point.
Rigidity has its purpose. It forms the structure. Fluidity allows language to grow.

It will never become the correct word until enough people use it incorrectly Thus is the nature of language. It has never stood still in its tracks.
Anyways.....
sorry

Yep. I do love language, understanding how words and grammar have changed and developed. It is fascinating.

I have never understood why people can't write very short and simple words like a lot. Btw before I had internet my English was actually BETTER...
Also, "naushis" instead of nauseous? don't they know it comes from having NAUSEA?

And the word is nauseated as far as I know, the word that we pronounce "naw=shis" doesn't really exist...so I was taught. In any case, any event or whatever...
