Every morning I drink a coffee but if it takes a few till I have time till I sit down to drink it I get a slight headache and start feeling nauseous! So is it just my subconscious thinking or doe coffee really keep my headache away? Do you also feel that coffee is sone what a relaxation to start te day on the right track?

my coffee is so relaxing for me, the caffeine doesn't do much for me, but to sit with a cup of coffee when I'm tense...ahhhhh!

Some of mine are decafs, but I would say that I drink about 6 or 7 cups a day. I make strong coffee 60% full and fill the rest of the cup with milk. It does definitely help me wake up in the morning... I don't have time to have anything more than 2 cups of coffee in the morning before I have to take my boys to preschool.... 15 minutes walk down the hill, then 15 minutes walk up the hill.... I need a little energy for that. After I get home, then I eat real food.

Because I drink decaf for some of my coffees, I can say that I don't consider myself a caffeine addict or that I "need" the coffee... I like the taste and it's fast and easy to make.

I answered 1 on the poll. but its 1 on average. I could be one or two or none...
I used to take a shower at night an then if I missed my coffee in the morning I was a wreck. so I changed, I take a shower in the morning and brisk walking before work and then if I miss my coffee I could still be jumpy in the morning but at least I don't get to work with half closed eyes and the pillow on my face. lol

Anywhere from 7-10 cups. I say that because a serving size is 8oz right? And I have a huge travel mug that I get filled at my favorite shops when I am out and about.

And I always have coffee after dinner too.

my mil lives on cake and coffee. she is ALWAYS holding a coffee cup in her hands. no matter where she is. and her house is full of coffee cups on every single shelf. lol. she makes herself a cup of coffee, goes into the room to do something and forgets about it. leaves, makes another one cuz she can't remember where she put the last one and then goes into another room and puts it down to do something else, finishes what she wanted to do and goes for another cup cuz she didn't finish it and forgot where she put it.....
that's why I really tried and turned my whole schedule around so I wouldn't be so dependent on the morning caffeine. I do not want to do this when I'm her age...

I never developed a taste for coffee so I drink none. But I did notice that a lot of people stay up late at night and don't get a lot of sleep, while I need a good night sleep and have a hard time functioning without it. I do wonder if there is a connection - with coffee helping people cope with less sleep.

Once in a while to relax, I have hot cocoa.

No, I drink when I'm in the mood and if I do have one, I don't have more than one day.

I generally drink one in the morning that I can't do without. If I go out with friends then I'll always order a good cup which I really savor.
If I drink after about 3 PM I have trouble sleeping at night.

Nothing. Unless I'm EXTREMELY exhausted, but even then, it's rare.

Used to enjoy iced coffees a lot more in my seminary and college days. Cool

I would enjoy a coffee if I had one, and I do like the taste of some of them, but I never wanted to get myself into drinking it regularly, so I just simply don't. Very rarely will I have some. I actually started to get into drinking tea in the morning- like black tea/regular english tea, with some milk and sugar, and it does the same thing as a coffee as far as enjoying in the morning etc. I do try though not to have one every day, since im bh pregnant, even though I know one cup a day is fine as far as caffeine intake, since I never drank regularly before, I figured of all times, why start now? so its more like once every other day. In the evening, if I want to relax with a cup (occasionally) ill have a different type of tea, like peppermint, chamomile, lemon ginger, etc- not the kinds you have with milk Smile and which are meant for relaxing in the evening.

Two cups in the morning and one more in the afternoon. I learned that coffee (reg and decaf)is acidic and is bad on the stomach, and it can cause uterine cysts, and it inhibits the absorption of nutrients. I also recall learning that in the long run, caffeine isn't good for the nervous system or the brain. Anyone else hear these things? I stop caffeine (soda) after 8pm in order to sleep better, also.

But I love hot chocolate!
