Can anyone recommend a nice cookbook to give as a gift?

I think they have the kosher by design series.

Thanks

Definitely suggest giving the new Bais Yaakov cookbook- Bought it for myself and gave it to my DIL- think she also really likes it.
You can order it directly from Bais Yaakov- http://baisyaakovcookbook.com/- They discount it 20% and no charge for shipping- ($29.56- a real bargain)

Hope they enjoy!

I know a lot of people who are very excited for the BY cookbook. The Dining in is a great cook book but they may have it and the BY is new so I think it's a good idea.

If she likes to patchke you could also get her the Efrat Librfroind Kosher Elegance it's a really nice gift.

I didn't read the BY so I don't know anything about it but I know other people who were excited to get it. I personally got the other one that came out at the same time. Fresh and easy by Leah Schapira. I like it but I like all cookbooks Smile

What about something like a Moosewood cookbook that will have some different stuff? I feel like most of the Jewish ones are pretty similar, and people are always coming here looking for new vegetable side dishes or milchig ideas.

The BY Cookbook is really good. Normal ingredients, basically simple recipes, also some fancier ones that are still not too crazy to make. I like it a lot.

Another vote for the BY cookbook, but I also like the Fresh and Easy, I've made a bunch of recipes from both.

Kosher Elegance (really nice and quite expensive so great as a gift)

KBD (a couple together) - my sis got as a gift the teens and 20somethings for a wedding present since her and her dh are both teens/20 something.

Balebustas (this is a real good one to have around, has most basic recipes.)

You can actually order everything on amazon for cheaper:

Fresh & Easy for $23

More Kosher Cookbooks:

Artscroll books are actually the cheapest on Amazon because they sell it to them directly.
