How do I remove a stain on a white design/dark backgrnd knit

My dear toddler son has some kind of stain on the white design that is in the middle of his dark navy blue sweater. I don't want to soak in oxy-clean forever because I'm afraid it will damage it, I already soaked it a little bit and the stain is still there.

Any suggestions?

Try spraying that spot with a spray stain remover (shout, oxi clean) and scrubbing it. Then wash in washing machine on the warmest setting possible for that sweater.

I also find that dishwashing liquid removes a lot of my kids' stains and it's not as harsh on the clothing.
