I'm trying to figure out the best cleaner for wood floors. I had been using Murphys Oil, but I feel like it is ruining the finish on my floors. I live in an apartment building and the floors are finished horribly!! (like barely any shine on them to start, and I feel like I'm taking off that little bit every time I wash it).
I used to solve the problem by rarely washing the floor, and just sweeping. However, with a kid that doesn't really work. I was debating using plain water - but not sure if that will also ruin the floor! Any suggestions?
TIA

ditto on the bona!
also, don't use Murphy's oil soap.....I heard from a hardwood floor guy that it will just eat away at the finish.

I use either plain water, water with a little vinegar, or water with a gentle dish soap.

I used Pine Sol today. Is it okay?
