Oy, did I get myself into heisse vasser! Ich hub nisht kein tzeit tzu lein alle vos ihr shreibt. (especially with the English spelling...)
Just one thing: Some of you mein ich zuch a lererin. Not the case - Ich shoin hub a lererin. Just looking for a place to practice and "shmooze" mit all mine mistakes (Someone gave me that word somewhere in this thread, but ich fagessen shoin). PLEASE don't feel the need to correct all my mistakes, or I'll have the same problem ich hub IRL.
Yetz ich darf tzeit tzu lein alle posts. Un alle kinder zuchin fun dein mamme...

Okay ladies, I'm going to go through all 3 pages and correct all errors. Smile I see most of you are confusing tenses all the time.

Rahel, your Yiddish is fantastic. Btw, you dont have to say 'on' Shabbos at all.... you can say אום שבת, but you can simply say שבת. And who is your balabus? Your husband? A husband you say מאן.

A better word for גערעכט would probably be ריכטיג. Are you trying to say it's not 'right', or it's not 'correct/ok'?

So eech red mer un mer un er lacht un lacht. Biz er beit mir "Bitte her oif shoin ich ken mir nisht utemin, deis is erger vee tickle torture!"

So asoi vee a gitte vab ich her uf, in BH er ken nuchamal utemin. Dermultz er is shoin fargessin farvus er is gevein broigess in er dankt mir as ich hub geratavit er leibn!

Un mir hut shalom in der velt!

I will honor your request and not correct you, though I want to point out that you are mixing chassidishe and litvishe yiddish.

Yes MB you're right, I meant richtig. But technically they're from the same root so I wasn't that far off.

I grew up speaking Yiddish and my husband speaks Yiddish but I don't speak it regularly. Smile

I also can't type real yiddish on my phone. Here I'll throw in some words I don't know. MB, I don't mind if you correct me. Smile

vukin is , גיין

however you pronounce it. and some of you are mixing different pronouncations.

I'm probably mixing a ton of diff Yiddish. My dh is Yekke, my dad is Poylish and my saba is Galizianer LOL

ftr, I am talking about the pronouncation, not different words. eg: du and di. tzu and tzi. un(meaning and) and in.


and what is 'chut'? thread? I didnt know that its considered yiddish. thought it was LK?

walking is gein

strolling is shpantsiren. you use the arim if you say you are walking around something.

(according to my version of yiddish:) )
