I have a question - my 5-year-old DD has taken the initiative to want to be more covered up for quite a while now. Even though I thought that around age 6 or so we would want to start dressing her differently, she of her own accord has moved to dressing more tzniusdik over the last two years. Long story short, she complained to me this morning about all the cute skorts that I bought her to wear this summer and told me she wants to wear long skirts! For those of you that dress your younger girls in longer skirts, do you also put bike shorts underneath? If not, what do you do? The idea of her being up high on monkey bars showing her underwear at her coed camp is not so great for me, also I could see her underwear getting quite nasty while she's playing the sadnbox/playground/etc and it grosses me out. What is the right way to go here?

A short is great, or a legging?

I second the shorts... the slips are worthless.
