We would like to go to France for the first time. Does anyone know the places where there is for sure a minyan?
So far I have:
Les Deux alpes
Alpe D'huez
La Plagne
(I think in these places there are kosher hotels)
Anyone know of any more? (current please)

In Valloire and Meribel, there is a summer retreat organized by chabad.
So they have mintanim.
You will have more kosher options in Valloire because ita for the boys an families, whereas in Meribel, it s only for girls so less families go there.

Anyhow, I am pretty sure there is a minyan in both places. You can call the head office of chabad for more info: +33.1.45.26.87.60

I doubt there's a kehila.
My husband says sometimes there's a kosher hotel.

For anybody that also wants to know, there is a jewish hotel this year in La Plagne.

Annecy has a shabbat miniyan (but not during the rest of the week)
Aix-les-Bains is the largest community.

For kosher provisions, we usually get things in Geneve (actually in Gaillard across the French border) before going up the mountains.

As it turned out there was a hotel that was kashered for summer at Les Arcs 2000 in Savoie. Up the mountain from Bourg St Maurice. There was also another private miniyan at lower village in Les Arcs. Best to get kosher provisions from Aix-les-Bains.
