Iyh due in september with my third, while my first wont be three until decemeber (EEEEK!)

we are trying to avoid a mini-van, as the payments for it are a lot of money.

Does anyone know of a compact car that can fit three proper carseats in the back?

The only way you will get three carseats across is if two of them are radians, IIRC. Esp since you prob will have all three rear-facing (or at the most one forward facing).

I can't help you; we didn't have a minivan but my 3rd was born back in the days when, as Rabbi Frand says, cars were cars so there was room. Hatzlacha!
