OK, everyone knows about the lettuce, raisins, and celery. But I'm sure that the creative minds here can come up with more (merren?)
If you were creating a siman that would provide a pun in English, what might you use? Whirled peas?
Any interesting ideas?

Kolrabi - "Shenishma kol haRabi"
Will that get this thread shut down?
FTR, simanim in English are not just a joke - I have learned that you can use any language.

Love it!
Maybe plantain so that we could be plantain and harvestin' physically and spiritually.
Somehow, even though it's fine to use any language, I haven't met many people who do. (OTOH, we don't go out for the RH meals because we usually host.) As a side note, does anyone?

When my husband was a bocher, someone told him to ketchup and honey as a segula to "ketchup with his honey". Well, it must have worked because a year later we were engaged and he gave me a bottle of each before Rosh Hashana!
