I would venture to say that it's a characteristic of fitting into yeshivish circles NOT to do things that are uncommon. That's why people in those circles are less likely to give their kids uncommon names...

(Not that I'm saying this is necessarily a positive value, just describing what is ... though some would say it's part of tznius not to stand out as different.)

How to live on one income
Have the one income be 6 digits. And preferably have a spouse who stays home with kids - if spouse homeschools then you can even compromise on the 6 digits.

What are the halachos of cholent??

Cholent must be served at Shabbat lunch all year long, no matter how hot it gets. While one is obligated to eat a kezayis, the more one eats, the more meritorious it is.

Those who are meticulous start eating cholent on Thursday night. Baalei Nefesh also eat it at simchas all week long.

Vegetarian cholent is prohibited, and one who is observed eating it should be suspected of owning a treif smartphone. However if the cholent contained meat and one merely ate around the pieces of meat, they should only be suspected of owning a Slifkin book.

If one finds oneself at a house that serves a different type of cholent than one's family minhag, one should eat it, but it is preferable to have a pot of one's own style at home to eat at shaleshudes.

One who attends a hot kiddush must eat cholent there, but this does not exempt them from eating again at lunch.

While it is not obligatory to get cholent on one's white shirt, doing show demonstrates mesirus nefesh.
