Just finished the Xmas special...loved it , I like the Carson/Hughes storyline ...also wish tom would stay

In earlier episodes, Lord Sinderby was a principled person who opposed intermarriage out of religious convictions. Now they've just made him a hypocritical, biased jerk.

I didn't say it made any sense. Most of the story lines this season made very little sense. Especially the Bates and Anna line - ridiculous redux if ever there was one. And the Lord Sinderby story really infuriated me. But the end was nice and cozy, especially if you suspended belief.

I feel quite depressed after that finale.

I only hope Edith get's her man in the Xmas special.

I've been watching the new season. It's showing now in the UK. I won't spoil it for anyone but it's interesting and not as much of a soap opera as in previous seasons.

It was decided earlier in the thread that there would be no spoilers re a current season.
Discussion of events of previous seasons is OK.

Ladies!

The second movie is coming I just don't know when but it will come soon! I'm already preparing my cup of tea and my tray with scones and sandwiches. Btw I just texted my SIL if we can't go to Highclere Castle when I'm visiting London, just a 1,30h drive but I'm going to withdraw it... 125 pounds each. Oy.
