I need a nutritionist desperately for my dc (8 y.o) who accepts Oxford and practices in New York.
I'm lost who to go to and don't want to jump around to find the right one.
Our pediatrician does not know of any first hand to recommend and just gives a list of names.
My son is severely obese. We really want someone who specializes in working with children and who has a positive track record of success.
Please share any information you might have.

Wow, are you me? I could have posted this exactly, down to the last detail. I am at my wits end! If you have done anything that has helped even slighty, please share.

Sounds like you might have to start interviewing nutritionists yourselves, and get back to us.

Haven't found anyone who specializes in kids.
How would you know upon interviewing if you've found the right nutritionist??
Aside from areas of specialty (the obvious) what else differentiates one from another??

as a child I was sent to phyllis lifshitz, and I had friends who went to Shani Goldner. I think either one might work for your son. Good luck!

Chocolate moose
Are you also looking for a nutritionist?
Is that why you asked us to "get back to you"?
