Between both my kids I had tubes put in 7(!) times,,,, never put earplugs in cuz they refused and they were perfectly fine. Unless it was placed really recent? Than I was ultra careful to prevent water from getting into the ears.

I am very good about ear plugs except once someone else gave him a bath and forgot and he got an ear infection so if you see gook (?Spelling) coming out of his ears or hes screaming those are signs you won't miss I gurantee it!!!

My ENT specifically told me that I do not need to put ear plugs in DD's ears unless she would be swimming in dirty water (like a lake)
