I am looking for a low back booster for carpool. DS is just about 5, 45 lbs and 43" (?) tall. He currently uses a Britax Marathon and a Sunshine Radian in our cars.

I want something safe and preferably cheap. Also, narrow is better than wider.

A high back booster or car seat won't work for us in this carpool situation.

Any suggestions?

We needed a narrow booster seat for carpool as well. The only one we could find that fit in the middle seat between 2 other boosters was the Harmony booster from Walmart.

I second the Harmony backless. Good safety ratings, cheapest price, and narrowest I've ever seen. My kids use it for carpool. (And my 7.5 yo as his dedicated seat.)

I got my narrow boosters at WalMart. No back. I can fit three on the third row of my van. Don't know the name though.

Yeah, I haven't bought any girly ones yet (my oldest girl is 4.5 and she's harnessed, not in carpools yet)

Thanks! Are there any links to show safe ways to buckle a kid into a booster?

I bought a lot of boosters online from a company that typically sells to orginazstions. I got 6 for around $60 and they look like the Harmony ones. I get three across in the back and they're plenty roomy for my 6 year old in the front seat. The CPSAfety we site has good info.
