Mine is a Jet New LIne, bright red with the pull cord. I don't like the new ones with the push button.

I bought mine here in Israel. Not sure what brand it is, but its also one that you pull the string (as opposed to pushing a button). IT'S AMAZING!

a salad spinner is used to wring out the water from lettuce after u wash it. It;s great!!! u rinse the lettuce and put it in a bowl, then u pull the string and it SPINS the lettuce around adn around, and then u empty out the water from the bottom. Basically, it dries your lettuce. I also use it to store my lettuce in the fridge if I have room.

Ingenious! Can you post a link? How much can they hold? Can they be full leaves, or must they be already ripped up?

Just for the record, my SIL who is a caterer swears by the OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner sold by Bed, Bath and Beyond. The larger size runs like $25.
