I like ground pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts or almonds with a little brown sugar and cinnamon on the bottom of the pan.

I have mixed in some GF matzo meal also.

Hag Sameah!!

why don't you buy gluten free cookies and crush them up with melted marg. im pretty sure my mother made one last year with gluten free rice krispies for one of her guests.

you could do the ground nuts ... but also go crust free

if you only need gluten free for select guests - you can use cupcake holders

I'm planning on crushing GF graham crackers and mixing with melted butter. It won't be cheap but I think it will be tasty Smile

I was thinking of trying this recipe, made with Rice Chex. It seems really easy.

I am guessing that it comes out a little hard; the question is whether the cheese filling will soften it enough.

Last year I used GF Cornflakes, and I crushed it. It was great!

Good Luck!

I don't like to grind nuts in the machine because I am afraid of making nut butter. I always use a hand grinder. Maybe this is just the OCD in me, but I am convinced that the hand grinder is the only way to get the nuts "gravelly" like they should be for recipes.
