It should be wiped off before nursing. It is recommended to give the baby Nystatin Liquid Suspension. Ask your ped for a prescription.
For me, I found that giving the baby probiotics helped very much.

Is it possible that only I have thrush? Bec I don't see white patches in my baby's mouth and it only hurts on one side.

Yes, it's possible, but you should still both be treated so you don't pass it back and forth.

Sore nipples doesn't equal thrush! What kind of pain do you feel? Also how does your nipple look after nursing? You may just have a problem of bad latch. If nursing still hurts I think you shoul dhave your baby's latch evaluated. Maybe there's an issue of tongue/lip ties.
I had an infection once and was given dicloxicillan and it did not harm my supply in any way nor did it cause thrush. I gave my baby probiotic powder (regular adult one is fine, just dip a moist pacifier or finger into it and then let your baby suck on it).
