After having to fight a sick DS to take his rectal temperature and fight his to take his auxiliary temperature (almost more then by rectal for some weird reason), DH is insisting that we get a temporal thermometer. Or at least an ear thermometer.
But from what I read they are not as accurate as rectal. and they cost too! Dh thinks even if they arent as accurate and they cost more its worth it over having to fight with DS for even 30 seconds to a minute to take his temperature the other ways.
Does anyone have any experiences with them? Do they work well? Anything else to tell me?
TIA

The ear thermometer is the most accurate of the non evasive techniques for temp taking, the Temporal method is also acceptable coz the blood vessels in the scalp are very close to the surface, I prefer the ear personally.
