Too many questions?
My baby is almos 6 weeks old so what is the supposed schedule of bottles? I have two older kids, also bottlefed, but is just like I forgot!!!

So, should I wake her up to eat, or not anymore? She could sleep for 5 hours if it's the case, most of the cases actually or in the late afternoon only for 2 hours...
Also she has thrush so does that influence in anything? Can someone get thrush from bottles? I didn't know that, actualy in this case I think she kept it from before when I was nursing...

How much should she be eating? How many ounces per bottle? she is over 10 pounds, k'h and finally!
Last: Which bottle worked the most for "you"? It seems that this one does not like bottles, (the other two use to eat in 10 minutes) so, every time she swallos half of it comes out of the mouth.....
Thanks in advance.

a six month old does not need to be woken to eat, she should be able to go for at least a 5 hour stretch, my ds was sleeping through the night at that age.

During the day I would feed him every three hours. I used Dr. Browns the wide neck ones, mainly bec his formula was so thick it was the only one it would come out of.

As for thrush cant help you there BH never had to deal with it

I used to wake my baby every three hours to eat and at night let the kid sleep. the lactation specialist at the hospital said to do it so that you can get a stretch at night.

I'm not sure how much the baby shld eat but for the thrush you can use dektarren I'm not sure where you can buy it since its a English product,

Are you talking about at night? Why should you wake up a baby? My baby slept 6-7 hours at 6 weeks and I never woke him. Even during the day there is nothing wrong with feeding a baby sometimes after 2 hours, sometimes 4 and sometimes 6 hours! As long as she is getting the recommended amount of oz. throughout a 24 hour period.

You are talking about nursing. A bottle fed baby does not have to eat every 3 hours.

thrush-you must sterilize the nipple of the bottle after each feeding- or you will keep reinfecting the baby w/ the infected nipple.
for thrush, the best thing I ever used was gentian violet-it turns babys mouth purple and gets on all her/his clothing, but it also gets rid of the thrush better than medication. easy to find in the drug store too.
as for bottle feeding and how often-sorry, cant help u there-I always nursed and only when baby was hungry-never woke a child to feed unless I was bursting embarrassed

u don't have to wake the baby some ppl think its cruel but if you would rather that the baby sleeps through the nite rather than the day then it would be advisable to wake the baby. and yeah I am talking about a nursed baby, but I don't think it shld work too differently.
