My son has been wearing Old Navy chinos/docker type pants. He started wearing a mens size (28x30) but over the summer her grew and that size is too short for him (he is about 5' 11") so I would need the same waist (28) but a longer pants (like 32). Where should I buy him pants?

I would guess Old Navy carries 28x32.
If not, try any store catering to teens. Uniqlo. American Eagle. Aeropostale. H&M. Express Men.

Possibly uniform stores. There are lots of gangly kids who still have to wear uniforms. I lucked out with my 30-32 son; I had lots of 32-32 trousers handed down and found a seamstress who would take them in in the back very reasonably.
