agree? disagree? any thoughts on this?
I've been discussing and thinking about "being present" this week ... problem is, most/all of the books, websites on this are sources in zen buddhism, would be interested in Jewish material on this subject:
being present
focused
in the moment
mindfulness

Do you mean, like counting to 10? I have heard that this is actually not a good practice b/c it doesn't force the person to step back, it instead gets them angrier.

I think it's a matter of if we are really genuine in our concern or not - if it's the latter I believe our teeth will be grinding - if it's the former we will have enough patience
