I have the same question. Anyone know what to do with a "flanken roast?"

So many views and no response? I guess a lot of us have this question. Too bad the butcher my mother got it from is in NY and I'm in Lakewood or I'd go ask him.

I wish I knew what a flanken roast was. Never come across one. But my guess would be to treat it like flanken - cook low and slow until it becomes very tender.

I ended up finding a delicious recipe! 1 cup red wine 1 cup russian dressing 1 cup cranberry sauce 1/3 c onion soup mix. mix and pour over roast and bake for 2 and a half hrs at 350 or till your fork goes through. cool and slice. everyone loved it!
