why would anybody render their meat tasteless ...

in my hood they sell 3 levels of ground beef - some fat - a little fat - fat-free ... you cut it off before it's ground

Israeli ground beef is very very VERY lean. I actually add some olive oil to it.

It is!?!!? That's if you can even find 100% ground beef... Wow- good to know. I kept thinking its a terribly unhealthy meal choice.

Oh I never usually go to the meat counter...I buy them packaged frozen

This makes me cry. The guy took free range meat and defatted it! That is the healthiest fat! If only I could afford to buy it, I would eat it happily! Then he added refined toxic vegetable oil to it and boiled it all off. First of all, fat is essential to process protein and it satisfies us and makes us feel fuller on smaller amounts. There is nothing wrong with free range heart healthy beef fat! Just skip the white bread bun and french fries that typically go with it! Why are health concious people (like the fitness guy in the video) so uninformed with the negative changes of modern diets? Check out articles like this one, there are many! fat is good for you

Most of them have added soy, beware! Unhealthy and you are paying more per kilo expecting meat and you are getting fillers. They also may have coloring added.
