I keep my laundry separated in a drawer laundry 'basket' . Its great, it takes up the same floor space as a regular luandry basket but with 5 draws so keeps everything easily separated. I got mine from ikea a few years ago.

I like the magnetic hair pins and magnetic make-up ideas in theory. But then you're stuck having to look at that stuff on the wall all the time.
