did anybody notice how amazing they are ?!

Barbara doesn't leave them up for too long ... so I decided I want a space to save them

it's been a long time coming ~ here goes one:

I don't know a soul who's not been battered
Don't have a friend who feels at ease
Don't know a dream that's not been shattered
Or driven to it's knees.
--Paul Simon

There ain't no doubt in no ones mind that loves the finest thing around,
whisper something soft and kind.
And hey, babe, the sky's on fire, I'm dying, ain't I?

Bonus points if you have to sing the whole song in your head after reading the quote!

And I have to add how much I appreciate these quotes. Anyone who doesn't think song lyrics are poetry should check out Barbara's siggies!

Well, if he's dead, he definitely doesn't have to worry about women anymore!

How about "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves? Very Happy

Their children hate them for the things they're not
They hate themselves for what they are
But yet they drink, they laugh
Close the wound, hide the scar

No matter how the wind may blow, you belong to me
Like the mountains to the sky
And you know when I close my eyes, you're the one I see
Oh, Karla, we can make it if we try

All men, all men are liars
Their words ain't worth no more than worn out tires.
Hey girls, bring rusty pliers to pull this tooth, all men are liars
And that's the truth.

For those who say that we chareidi types aren't exposed to fine writing, Barbara, you're doing good by us! And thanks for the thread to keep it all in one place.

Only Noah saw it coming
40 days and 40 nights
Took his sons and daughters with him
Yeah, they were the Israelites.

So tired that I couldn't even sleep
So many secrets I couldn't keep
I promised myself I wouldn't weep
One more promise I couldn't keep

Many times I've cried alone
Always I'm surprised how well you
