The best Jewish novel I've ever read was Sun Inside Rain by M. Bassara.

I am LOVING The Grey Lines serial in Binah. No idea if the end will live up to the rest but in a few months or so the book should come out, with bonu content, and I will recommend it :-)

If you go for historical fiction, I recommend Full Harvest by EG Schwartz. She also authored and publisheda novella set in the period of the chanuka story, but I'm not sure if it's commercially available.

Dual Discovery by Zecharya Hoffman. ( hope I got the name right, someone correct me if not.) I also liked The Betrayal and The Outcast by M. Kenaan.

I usually don't like Jewish novels, but Fatal Judgement was excellent. Well written and not "typical."

I used to be partial to "Sun Inside Rain"
but now I'm partial to anything Etka Gittel Schwartz writes: "shortchanged" and "in full harvest"
I read them both as serials in the Binah and would read them again in a heartbeat. Her writing is impeccable, her research is thorough, and her premises are very unique.

As long as I live is the best book I read this year.

Just read Diamond Dust by Riva Pomerantz and thought that was good. All her books are good esp Green Fences.

I read as long as I live and Green Fences. They were both very good books. Maybe I'll try Diamond Dust this time.
Thank you to all that responded with book titles.

Oops. Missed this in my earlier post.
Another book suggestion: The Mountain Family. I haven't read it yet but I'm looking forward.

Yes. And it's relatively cheap. I think it's around $17.

The Bible is referred to by many Christians as the "Good Book."

And by Tevye, like The Good Book says.
