My sister is making a bar mitzvah. I don't have Shabbos clothes, let alone anything appropriate for a simcha. It is out of town so it doesn't have to be so fancy like in NY. Problem: I'm a plus size. Another Problem: I have limited space on my Discover card. I live in NY, so anywhere in the city, brooklyn or even long island is good. Where do I go? TIA

I second the dress barn. I needed for an oot wedding and theh had tons of stuff at amazing prices. Also now is a great time to shop because all the holiday fancy clothes is on sale. But just fyi, I was told at "my" dress barn that they all have different stuff. Try the one in queens which is right next to khols in fresh meadows.

I think I need two outfits, one for Friday night, one Shabbos day. I'm not sure on what these type of clothing costs. I do have one nice skirt at home so I think I just need tops.

Amother, you can find Shabbos clothes in every store. You just have to pick one that corresponds to your style and budget.
