I'm looking for a 2 bedroom apartment in Pine River area of lakewood for a newly wed couple.
Could be a basement in nice condition.

How easy is it to find an apartment?
Where are the best places to look?
How much can I expect to pay monthly?
Usually, do they include utilities?
Usually, is there a washer and dryer?
I'm coming to look for apartments at the end of January, any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Call maasa umatan and BP graphics. They have ads/lists of available apartments listing area, size, price, etc. I noticed there are very few apartments listed recently, so maybe be flexible about location, or something. I think there are also signs put up in the bulletin board in yeshiva, if you know someone learning there who can check it for you daily that would also help.

Ease of finding apt depends on availability...if you want an area/size/price that's high in demand it will be harder.
I think most come with a washer/dryer.
Some cover utilities, some don't.

Actually, at this time, apartments are very hard to get  .
It goes in waves: for a while apartments are a dime a dozen, and then, for no apparent reason, the market gets tight and it's a landlord's market. Which is how it looks now. (Lately, Masa Umatan's list is barely 2 pages long and mostly houses, as opposed to a mere few months ago when it was 5-6 pages!)
