my baby got "scared" of the crib. Tried a bed on the floor, but DD was up all night. We were told by her dr to put her in the pack n play until 3. I am nervous about the matress, but DD loves it. She is over 2 now.

I have a similar one. We've used it as a bed/crib from day one until our toddler turned 15 mos. We could've probably used it for longer, but I want him to have a proper bed...

I don't like the mattresses, they tend to sag and I don't think they're good for a baby's back, besides for the fact that they're very uncomfortable. they do sell real mattresses to fit pack n plays so you have that option.
btw, you can get a real wooden crib at ikea for around $75.
