I know it's very late...but I must share those 2 EASY recipes with you,.
you can mix all ingredients by hand -no mixer needed!and it takes about 3 minutes to prepare those yummy 2 cakes!

One bowl chocolate cake-Yum Yum Yum

6 eggs
1 1/2 cups suger
1 1/2 cups oil
3/4 cup cocoa
3/4 cup potato starch
1/2 teasppon baking soda

350 1 hour (check after 45 minutes) 9X13 pan

BLONDIES

mix everything in 1 bowl
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup oil
3 teaspoons vanilla sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup potato starch
1 cup chocolate chips
1 bag ground nuts [6 ounces/171 grams]

bake in a 9x13 pan 350 40 minutes
should be a bit underdone

ENJOY!

while I sit here and struggle to separate and whip with an electric hand mixer ... what was it 20 x 2 + another 8 x 2 = ____ for my sponge cake, unrainbow cake, and chocolate mousse ... HELP Help I guess it's worth it though ... we love em!!!

I want you to know I just made these two cakes right after I read your post. They smell amazing! Hope they taste as good as they smell! I added the rest of the chocolate chip package I used for the blondies in the chocolate cake. They certainly were easy to make!

in the blondies - the bag of ground nuts - how big a bag?

my mother made it, it's her question
I didn't taste it but she said they were gobbled up Smile

also, when you say "ground" - you mean very fine, powder-like?

The bag of ground nuts:
6 OZ=171 Grams

yes!very fine=powder like!

maybe a stupid question but I can not find any badatz baking powder can I make the blondies without it?

Mine is easier and is for the seder. Take less than an hour.

Separate six eggs. Toss the yolks, beat the whites until stiff. Slowly, really slowly beat in a cup of sugar. Then slowly beat in two heaping tablespoons of cocoa. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour. Let cool in stove. Eat. Delicious.

These are soft or dry? Sounds like mirengue.

The blondies are in the oven and it's been 42 mins but it still looks wiggly, jiggly. Help! How done should they be? I'm assuming the middle isn't done at all.

Almond cake

8 egg whites beaten with half cup sugar till stiff
pinch of salt

8 yolks with half cup sugar till lemon colored

By hand mix the yolks into the whites, then add one package of ground almonds.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes in a bundt pan

My favorite cake!

baking powder with a badatz for pesach is not called "baking powder" for some reason. It is called tarruvat liafiya or something like that.

I made them and they needed a LOT longer than the recommended baking time. Maybe they need to be made in a larger pan = flatter = less time baking?
