I'm looking for a psychiatrist in the Chicago area for my kids that takes Medicaid. Several of my kids have various issues like ADHD and anxiety that need medication.
The psychiatrist that I'm using for them now is impossible. She never gets back to me. Even for basics like medication refills, never mind that when I had a concern regarding a side effect my son had from a new medication. She never got back to me! The center she works at is equally incompetent regarding giving messages over to their psychiatrists and case managers. They never return my calls.
I'm plotzing and desperately looking for someone else.

Are you still looking for a child psychiatrist in Chicago? I just found a really good one, but not on Medicaid:( Sorry! Although after the initial evaluations she is willing to work with your dr and social worker and manage the meds that way... let me know if you need her info. I also heard that Julie from the Gersten Center in St. Francis takes medicaid and is very good but only heard... Good luck!
