I have a recipe for beef and barley stew I would like to make later this week.
It's a crockpot recipe and I was planning on using the 10 hour setting (we will be gone the whole time).
At the grocery store today, all my husband could find was an "instant 10-minute" barley package.
I'm guessing I can't cook the stuff for 10 hours?!
Any ideas? Maybe if I just put it in for the last little bit? 10 min, maybe the last hour?
Ugh, or should I just go to the store myself and try to find the regular stuff?

I've never heard of 10 minute barley but you should be able to add it in the last hour or so and it will be fine.
