Ok, I don't know this person personally, but everyone on my FB is passing this around and his page looks pretty much legit, so I thought I'd post this here:

Quote:
Amazingly, sometimes it is hard to give away money!
I have grant money available, no strings attached, for women who meet the following conditions: Must be used for vocational training that will lead to a job, must be used at an accredited school, must live within 50 miles of NYC. Grant will pay 90% of tuition up to $4000. The course chosen must be appropriate for the person, leading to a job they can really do. (College/Grad school are not vocational- most others are.)
This offer is limited, so if you qualify or know someone who does, contact me ASAP.

Who is this person? I messaged him asking for details but don't know if he'll get it in his "others" folder.

I would not send this person any personal info.
Most grants are given to organizations not individuals who will only give grants to females.

Totally fishy

A few months ago I was forwarded an email:

I have recently received funds for several grants (up to $4000 each)
towards tuition for vocational training.

Qualifications are simple: The funds are for women between 20-35 who
do not have college degrees, live in any of the 5 boroughs of NY, and
are planning to attend a recognized training program leading to a
marketable skill.

He is legit. He is hired by our community council to do careers counseling. He works for F.E.G.S (some Parnassah org not sure what it stands for). He was very professional at our meeting, although he did try to bash all my hashkafas about college Wink

He helped me with a grant a few years ago. I had to go to Mr. Ginzberg's office in FEGS in Manhattan. There was some paperwork and he discussed different ideas for careers for frum women and pursuing a college degree.
