Which one would it be?
You have to understand I live in a one floor decent sized apartment in a building and the walls are paper thin, sound wise. For my dh I would say the bedroom because he always complains he can't take a quiet nap shabbos afternoon because he's a light sleeper and bh there are kids in the house. I, on the other hand, vote for the bathroom . I go in there and maybe stay a little longer than needed to have some peace and quiet , but when I hear all the arguing/fighting and knocking on the door, there goes my peace and quiet.

bathroom - if it's the bedroom, how can you hear kids crying at night?

a special hide-out room - where I can read or sing or watch a movie or do anything without the troubles of the outside world coming to bother me

My bedroom, so I can go in my bed for five straight minutes before serving supper without hearing the kids fighting.
Or the baby room so the baby will sleep a full nap.
Or any other small room so I can make a phone call for a minute without interruption

My stepdaughter's bedroom, for sure. We bother her when we walk around on the floor below her.

Bedroom, of course. Not so we can't hear the neighbors--so the neighbors can't hear us.
or maybe not. Ever been in a soundproof room? . With no reverberations off the room surfaces, everything sounds "dead". It's disconcerting and uncomfortable.

The playroom!
Instead of confining myself to a room for peace and quiet, let me put all their noise in a soundproof room and have the rest of the quiet house for myself. Then, finally we can get the drums they are begging me for and no one will care! (That will definitely keep them in that playroom, for those of you who will say that the noise/kids wont stay in the playroom!)

My Red Room of Pain.
Kidding. Or maybe I'm not.
